Yards signs come in many different sizes, shapes, and color combinations. There are two different styles of yard signs typically, what is called a temporary yard sign and a re-useable yard sign.
Temporary yard signs are made using coroplast, a corrugated plastic material that is light weight and cost effective. They come in many shapes such as golf balls, golf tees, footballs, helmets, and of course in circles and rectangles as the standard. These yard signs use a metal wire stake to put them in the ground.
The re-useable yard signs have a aluminum face with an angle iron or rod iron frame. These are more typical in the real estate industry, however are often used with construction companies as well. Shapes are limited with this style as the frames are welded to fit standard shapes of aluminum cutouts.
Yard signs can be single color cut vinyl lettering on a solid colored background, or they can have full color graphics. Yard signs are considered to be a “30 mph” sign, meaning that the traffic is usually driving past at 30 mph, and therefore you only have a matter of seconds for them to read and digest what it says. Yard signs are not to be treated like a billboard with a ton of information on them, the simpler the better.
