Apparel can be screen printed, direct to garment printed, or embroidered. Items can include t-shirts, polo style shirts, button down shirts, hats, coats and even bags.
Screen Printing uses silk screens with an imposed image to transfer images directly onto many items usually using plastol inks, although more “green” friendly inks are available for some items.
Direct to Garment Printing uses a digital printer that prints directly to light colored garments. An advantage is the ability to use full color images on short runs and not have high screen charges incurred. The main disadvantage to this process is the inability to print on dark colors.
Embroidery is sewing thread directly on apparel. This is the most professional looking end product. All logos need digitized to complete, which is the process of telling the machine where each needle puncture goes.
