The term “Flat Sign” is a generic term for commercial signs. These flat signs use many different types of flat panel substrates. These substrates include materials such as Coroplast, Sintra, Acrylic, Aluminum, Polystyrene and Wood (MDO).
There are also many composite sheets that combine aspects of standard materials to create hybrids, including such materials as DiBond, Alumalite, Alucabond and Omega-Bond.
Each substrate has a specific capability and is suitable for different types of applications, environment, use conditions and budget concerns. All of these materials can be decorated with cut vinyl lettering, or completely covered with full color digital prints, or somewhere in between.
