A vinyl banner is a common advertising method for a wide range of retail and wholesale industries. The standard vinyl banner is also a regular player for almost every special event, church function, golf outing, charity fund raiser and a host of other promotional activities.
A standard banner should be at least 13oz vinyl material. It can also have reinforced corners, stitched edges and grommets for conditions that may lead to excessive wear. Typical alternative options include pole pockets, velcro strips for tradeshow applications as well as mounting straps.
Banners are considered to be a temporary sign solution. We have found often times banners can and will have a long life span, however they are not the right application for long term business signage. Pole banners and kits look great in the parking lot and lining the streets, just keep in mind they are subjected to harsh winds from all angles and do wear out within a year in most cases, if left up continuously.
