What are design fees?
If a file is sent to us in a format that is unsuitable for reproduction we will let you know. Vector "EPS" file types are the best for production.

Not all digital files are created equal. If the artwork is in any other form than a vector based format without any line manipulation needed, there will usually be a Design Time Fee involved. You will be notified at the time of artwork submission. All photos and artwork submitted may require an extra form be completed granting Wildside Graphix permission to use the submitted artwork or photo.

Scanning of a business card does not give us your logo, we spend time recreating your logo into a vector based format for production. This fee will only be charged the first time the logo has to be created.

What file format do you need for production?

Files we accept are:
The best files to send in are (.eps)
Corel Draw X4 and below (.cdr)
Adobe Illustrator 10 and below (.ai)
JPEG, BMP, TIF, GIF are not advisable for production,
and can incur design fees.
Files created in Word, Excel, Publisher and other "free" programs are not production ready and will incur additional art fees

It is best to always convert fonts to lines or curves to ensure proper layout of typestyles. We cannot feasably have all fonts available.

For Digital Printing, some TIF and BMP files are ok, as long as the resolution is high enough quality for each application. Please contact us to learn the best way to capture your digital files for large format reproduction.

How do I take care of my vinyl graphics?

DO:

  • Wash vinyl graphics with plain soap and water, or any car wash detergent

  • Keep high pressure nozzles at least 2 feet from the edge of the graphics.  High pressure spray can cause the edge of graphics to peel.

  • Test cleaning solutions on a small section of the vinyl graphic before using.

  • Be careful when using a snow scraper on vinyl window lettering.

DON'T:

  • Don't let gasoline or other fuels drip or stay on your vinyl graphics for any length of time.  If a spill occurs, wipe off and rinse with water immediately.

  • Don't apply paint or clear coat over the vinyl graphics

  • Don't apply wax over graphics, especially if the wax contains any petroleum distillates.  Wax that has dried along the edge of a graphic can be removed by softening it with rubbing alcohol and using cotton swabs.
